JOOSTEN RECOVERING AFTER LUNG SURGERY
DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star KATHRYN JOOSTEN is recovering after undergoing cancer surgery in Los Angeles.
The Emmy Award-winning actress, 69, had a cancerous growth on her lung removed on Monday (05Oct09).
A representative for Joosten says, "She's doing great. She'll be in the hospital recovering for a few days... but there will be no chemo, no radiation."
Joosten, who plays Mrs. MCCluskey on the hit show, revealed she had been diagnosed with lung cancer last month (Sep09).
She was left devastated by the shock news - because she beat the disease eight years ago.
