JONES TO PERFORM WITH FOO FIGHTERS ORCHESTRA
LED ZEPPELIN star JOHN PAUL JONES isn't waiting for a potential reunion tour to get back on the big stage - he'll perform with the FOO FIGHTERS at the Grammy Awards next month (Feb08). The bass player teamed up with ROBERT PLANT and JIMMY PAGE for a one-off reunion show in London last month (Dec07), but he isn't waiting around for his bandmates to reteam for a proper tour. Just hours after Page announced a Led Zeppelin reunion wouldn't take place until Plant had completed tour dates with Alison Krauss later this year (08), Jones revealed his plans to perform with a more modern supergroup. The rocker will arrange a special orchestral version of the Foo Fighters' hit single The Pretender and he'll conduct a mini orchestra, made up of wannabe stars on the night. The 50th annual Grammy Awards will be held on 10 February (08) at Los Angeles' Staples Center.
