JONES RETURNS TO CARNEGIE HALL 44 YEARS AFTER MAKING HISTORY
Music legend GEORGE JONES is returning to the New York concert Mecca where he made country music history in 1962. The ageing singer will play a Halloween show (31OCT06) at Carnegie Hall with pal KRIS KRISTOFFERSON, 44 years after he became the first country artist to play the venue. Back then he performed on a bill with JOHNNY CASH and the CARTER FAMILY.
