JONES PRAISES CAMPAIGNING STARS

Legendary music producer QUINCY JONES has praised campaigning actors GEORGE CLOONEY, BRAD PITT, DON CHEADLE and MATT DAMON for raising awareness about the genocide in Darfur, Sudan. Jones, 74, is amazed by the Ocean's Thirteen co-stars' human spirit, who last month (May07) at the Cannes Film Festival in France raised more than $9 million (GBP4.5 million) for their Save Darfur Campaign. He says, "So amazing to see these guys get involved and grow. "That's how we are supposed to live our lives. In the beginning, we do the quest for survival and materialism. And then you realise you have to get outside yourself, give something that will outlive you."
