JONES PLANS AHEAD FOR COACHELLA HEAT
THE CLASH co-founder MICK JONES will be well prepared for his trip to California's Coachella Festival on Saturday (26Apr08) - he's planning on wearing cooling headgear.
With the desert event's temperatures expected to soar to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (37 degrees Celcius) during Jones' Carbon/Silicon set, the guitarist is taking precautions.
He says, "We’ve heard it’s very hot in the desert. I’m going to have one of those hats on that has a fan in the middle of it.”
Coachella always faces heat issues - Friday's (25Apr08) first-day temperatures reached 92 degrees Fahrenheit (33 degrees Celcius).
