JONES BACKS LIBERTINES REUNION TALK
Former CLASH rocker MICK JONES has thrown his weight behind a rumoured LIBERTINES reunion - offering to reprise his role as the indie band's producer.
Jones took control of the group's two albums Up The Bracket and The Libertines, before frontmen Pete Doherty and Carl Barat fell out and the London-based band imploded.
Five years on, talk of a comeback is hotting up - and Jones insists he wants to be involved.
He tells The Quietus, "Oh yes, please, you know? I haven't heard anything from them, but I hope they do (get back in the studio). I love them. If it's meant to be it's meant to be, and if it's written then it's written. I hope it happens."
