JOHN TRAVOLTA'S SUPPORTIVE NEIGHBOURS

John Travolta, wife Kelly Preston and their daughter Ella have given thanks to their neighbours in Ocala, Florida for supporting them through son Jett's death.

John Travolta has thanked his local community for showing love to his family.

The actor, wife Kelly Preston and their nine-year-old daughter Ella admit they were overwhelmed by the support they received from residents in Ocala, Florida, following the death of their 16-year-old son Jett in January.

Speaking at the premiere of the family's new movie 'Old Dogs' in Ocala, John said: "Kelly, Ella and I want to thank all of you for supporting us over the last year. It's meant the world to us. We know that we have a community. We know that we have friends. And we know that we are loved. We appreciate it. Jett appreciates it. We love you, Ocala."

An emotional Kelly then paid her own tribute, saying: "You guys are all so down to earth, loving and caring."

Jett - who suffered from autism - died after having a seizure during a family holiday to the Bahamas.
