JOHN SUED BY SCOTTISH SOCCER CLUB
Concert promoters for SIR ELTON JOHN are facing legal action from bosses at a Scottish soccer club over claims the ROCKET MAN wrecked their stadium's playing field during a 2004 concert.
Aberdeen Football Club owners allege the turf at the Pittodrie Stadium was ruined by leaked oil and heavy equipment used for John's gig five years ago.
Chiefs at London-based Marshall Arts Limited, who promoted the sell-out show, reportedly promised the cost of repairing the damage would be covered by insurance.
But the club claims the $54,000 (£36,000) bill has yet to be settled, according to a suit filed at the Court of Session in Edinburgh, Scotland.
