JOCELYN BROWN'S DRESSING ROOM ANGER
Jocelyn Brown has pulled out of performing at the Miss England final on Monday (20.07.09) after a dispute with organisers about her dressing room.
Jocelyn Brown has pulled out of the Miss England final - because organisers wouldn't give her a dressing room.
The soul singer was scheduled to perform at the beauty contest - which takes places at the Hilton London Metropole hotel on Monday (20.07.09) - but declined to appear after being told she would not be given a dressing room to prepare for a TV interview promoting the event at the same hotel on Tuesday (14.07.09).
Fearing she would be treated shabbily on the night, management pulled the diva out of the competition - which Danielle Lloyd won in 2004 - where she had been scheduled to sing her latest track 'Love Alibi'.
A source said: "When her management found out there was no room they said, 'What do you expect, for Jocelyn to get ready in the toilets?' "
Jocelyn, 58, has now been replaced by 'X Factor' finalist Laura White - who wowed Simon Cowell on the show with her rendition of Jocelyn's hit 'Somebody Else's Guy'.
Simon is a self-confessed fan of Jocelyn and previously described her as "one of the great divas".
