JIM JAMES PLANS HARRISON TRIBUTE

MY MORNING JACKET star JIM JAMES is to release a set of heartfelt GEORGE HARRISON covers he recorded in the days after the late Beatle's death under the name YIM YAMES.
The roots rocker's Tribute To... EP will feature six songs James recorded in 2001 as he attempted to come to terms with the death of one of his heroes.
The release will feature four Harrison tracks from his acclaimed All Things Must Pass album and Beatles songs Long, Long, Long and Love You To, which Harrison co-wrote.
James admits he felt compelled to pay tribute to the rock star because Harrison is "a prime example of the healing power of music".
The EP will be released in August (09).
