JIM CARREY'S CHRISTMAS CAROL POSTER REVEALED

It might not be even be high summer yet, but movie fans could be forgiven for feeling something of a festive tinge to things with the launch a poster for JIM CARREY's new project.

The star is set to take on the role of Ebenezer Scrooge in an adaptation of CHARLES DICKENS' famous novel A CHRISTMAS CAROL.

And fans of cliched Victorian winter scenes should find much to enjoy in the promotional material, featuring as it does a full moon, snowy streets, urchins and a horse and cart.

Hovering above the picturesque scene is Carrey's Scrooge, who, judging by the size of his features, seems to have an extra nose and chin going spare.

As the film has been made using performance capture animation techniques, Carrey is able to take on seven roles in the picture, including all three of the ghosts.

GARY OLDMAN stars as Scrooge's clerk Bob Cratchit and COLIN FIRTH also joins in the fun.

Recently, it was reported that BEN STILLER could be set to make USED GUYS without Carrey after a re-write saw the funnyman's part fall by the wayside.
