JEWEL SIGNS ON AS SPOKESPERSON FOR MARY KAY

Singer JEWEL has signed on as the new spokesmodel for cosmetic line MARY KAY in a campaign to end domestic violence.
Jewel will star in the company's new A Kiss for Country campaign, in which she will auction off a set of prints for charity, signed and sealed with a kiss by the star.
She says of the honour: "It's a topic that's close to my heart. I was homeless for a year and saw first hand how sometimes the streets can be safer than what's at home."
