JET LI SLAMS CHINESE GOVERNMENT FOR FILM CENSORSHIP
Chinese kung-fu film star JET LI has hit out at Chinese authorities who block the release of his Hollywood blockbusters in his home country.
Li is furious censors invariably only allow homegrown historic films to be released in China - and banned his movies Romeo Must Die and Kiss of the Dragon because they showed Chinese police officers as gangsters and murderers.
He says, "If gangsters aren't appropriate and police officers aren't appropriate, then what type of character can there be that wouldn't start an argument?"
