Rumours of a split between actor Jesse Metcalfe and Girls Aloud's Nadine Coyle are rife after the Desperate Housewives hotty was spotted with a mystery woman.

Jesse, who has recently spent time in rehab for alcohol issues, was spotted holding hands with the unknown brunette at Los Angeles press-friendly venue Toast while his Irish fiancée filmed her cameo in the new St Trinian's movie in England.

But the 28-year-old better watch out if he thinks he's a Love Machine as the Dublin-born singer won't be standing for it.

"Cheating is something Nadine will definitely not stand for," a friend of Nadine's told the Sun today.

"She has been working really hard with the other girls in England while he’s swanning about in LA."

The pair has been long-distance dating since a chance meeting in Australia in February 2006 but busy work schedules and trans-Atlantic flights have been reportedly putting strain on their relationship.

"If she thinks he has been cheating on her with another girl there will be all hell to pay," the friend warned.

"She loves him but she’s not going to let him take her for granted. She’s a feisty Dublin girl who will not stand for it."
