JENKINS: 'I COULD HAVE ENDED UP LIKE WINEHOUSE'

Opera star KATHERINE JENKINS fears she almost went down the same path as troubled singer AMY WINEHOUSE as a result of drug use.
The clean-cut Welsh beauty stunned fans last year (08) when she sensationally revealed she had used cocaine and ecstasy before hitting the bigtime.
Jenkins kicked narcotics when she secured her record deal with Universal Records in 2003, and she's been clean ever since.
And the star is grateful her music career took off - insisting she could have ended up like the Rehab hitmaker if she'd carried on with the dangerously addictive habit.
Jenkins says, "She's (Winehouse) mega-talented. I hope she can get over what she has to get over.
"I sometimes think I could've ended up like her. I don't think I'd have got that bad, but who knows with drugs?"
