JEM BLAMES 'LABEL POLITICS' FOR ALBUM DELAY

British singer JEM has accused her record label of allowing "politics" to force her career into a state of limbo. The They hitmaker finished recording new album, Down to Earth, back in 2007, but bosses at Sony have sat on it for two years before finally scheduling a February (09) release.
The 33-year-old apologises to fans for making them wait so long, insisting "it's not my fault".
Jem says, "It feels like a long time, only because it was supposed to come out in 2007 and I was frozen liken Hans Solo for two years during label politics. I had to stop recording halfway through the record and then start again and finish it so it's been longer than I would've wished. But it wasn't my fault, it wasn't me."
