JEAN AND AKON STRIP FOR MTV AWARDS

WYCLEF JEAN and AKON stunned the audience at the MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) this weekend (10-11Oct09) by stripping off on stage.
The cheeky pair hogged the limelight at the awards show in Nairobi, Kenya by holding a live contest for the a fictitious "best man" honour with a series of acrobatic exercises and 25 press-ups.
But the challenge became x-rated as they dared each other to disrobe until they were both in their underwear.
The contest stopped when Akon threatened to remove his boxer shorts, telling Jean, "You wanna see this, do you? Who's the man now Clef?"
The rest of the show was dominated by Kenyan artists with Nameless taking home the Best Male artist, while his hit track Sunshine triumphed in the Listeners’ Choice category.
Kenyan singer Amani was awarded the Best Female prize.
The show also saw tributes to South African rapper Lucky Dube, who was murdered in 2007, and late King of Pop Michael Jackson.
Akon closed the ceremony with a rendition of Jackson's Wanna Be Startin' Something.
