JAY-Z HIT BY INTERIOR DESIGN LAWSUIT
SHAWN 'JAY-Z' CARTER has been hit by lawsuit filed by a designer who created the interior for his New York City 40/40 Club. ILAN WAISBOD alleges the 99 PROBLEMS rapper recreated his trademark look in a second 40/40 Club in Atlantic City, New Jersey, without his permission. Carter was planning to replicate Waisbod's design in new nightspots in Los Angles, Las Vegas and Singapore, but Waisbod's legal papers claim this represents a violation of the agreement reached with his design company Studio Gaia. The design in question featured hanging chairs, flat-screen TVs and a safe to house highly-priced spirits like cognac, reports AllHipHop.com.
