JAMIE T TO FORM COVERS BAND

British singer JAMIE T is taking a career break to form a covers band with his friends.
The Sticks 'N' Stones hitmaker was forced to postpone his entire U.K. tour last month (Oct09) after coming down with laryngitis - and now he wants to extend his break by taking time away from songwriting.
But he'd like to make the most of his hiatus - by hitting the road with some pals.
He tells British radio station BBC 6 Music, "Maybe it's time to stop writing for a bit. As strange as that sounds sometimes you need to collect your thoughts a bit before writing so I think a covers band might be fun.
"I don't think we'll get into the studio. I think we're just going to play some shows. I think it's just more for the sake of having fun and going out and playing it. I don't think anyone's got any ideas that big about recording them."
