JAMES BROWN HONOURED WITH 10,000 PAIRS OF SHOES

The organisers of next month's (01FEB07) Soles4Souls benefit concert in Las Vegas will donate 10,000 pairs of shoes to natural disaster victims to honour headliner JAMES BROWN. The soul legend was set to join LITTLE RICHARD, JERRY LEE LEWIS and BOOKER T + THE MGs at the MGM Grand Garden Arena show, but he died on Christmas Day (25DEC05). To honour his memory, promoters will donate 10,000 pairs of news shoes to the aid charity.
