JAIL STINT INSPIRES SUTHERLAND TO STOP SMOKING - SOON

KIEFER SUTHERLAND's seven-week jail stint a year ago has given the actor the incentive to quit smoking - because he wasn't allowed to smoke behind bars.
The 24 star spent last Christmas (07) in prison after he was convicted on a drink driving charge, and had to spend 48 days nicotine free.
He says, "I was very glad to know that I could quit. And one day soon I will."
And another thing he's determined to avoid is another jail stint.
He tells the new issue of Men's Vogue magazine, "The lights never go out, 24/7. You can't cover anything. You can't even put your head under a blanket. All the cells have cameras in them."
