JAGGER JOKES ABOUT LOST LOVE

MICK JAGGER has poured his heart out about a lost love that escaped THE ROLLING STONES' history in a new spoof rockumentary. Fun-loving Jagger tries to keep a straight face as her pretends to reminisce about fictitious US rocker ERIN GRACE as part of a VH1 TV special promoting EURYTHMICS star DAVE STEWART's new group PLATINUM WEIRD. Jagger joins Stewart, SIR BOB GELDOF, SIR ELTON JOHN and STEVIE NICKS in PLATINUM WEIRD: ROCK LEGENDS, recalling what the former Eurythmic insists was a little-known act he created in the early 1970s with a hippychick, who has since disappeared. In the TV special, Geldof says, "I think Mick (Jagger) fancied her," prompting the Stones frontman to muse, "She didn't come across as a sort of regular kind of rock chick. I think she'd spent some time in an ashram in Kabul or something like that." Even FLEETWOOD MAC star Nicks is in on the joke - she confesses stealing parts of Erin Grace's stage performances. She explains, "I saw Platinum Weird in London in the early 70s and that girl, Erin Grace, and I liked her style... I probably took a little of her style for myself." In reality, Stewart's new act is a collaboration with top US songwriter KARA DIOGUARDI.
