JADEN AND WILLOW SMITH JOIN AIDS AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
WILL and JADA PINKETT SMITH's actor children JADEN and WILLOW have become youth ambassadors to raise awareness of the AIDS epidemic in Africa.
Jaden, 11, and Willow, eight, are working with toy manufacturer Hasbro's Project Zambi, a global cause aimed at helping the 15 million kids who've been orphaned by the disease in the poverty-stricken continent.
In a statement released to Usmagazine.com, Jaden says, "Willow and I joined Project Zambi to represent all the kids out there who want to make the world a better place.
"We want to encourage kids everywhere to lend a hand and join us in spreading the word about how much children who have been orphaned by AIDS in Africa need our help."
And the child stars are helping to boost fundraising efforts by joining other celebrities in signing custom-made collectible elephant models for an upcoming charity auction.
Willow adds, "Project Zambi is about kids and for kids, and it's so important that we all learn to take care of each other. Even from the other side of the world, kids in Africa will know they have friends who care about them."
The proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Chikumbuso Women and Orphan's Project in Zambia.
