JADE GOODY CONFIRMS CANCER HAS SPREAD

Reality television star Jade Goody has confirmed her cervical cancer has spread to her bowel, liver and groin.

The former Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother contestant was diagnosed with the disease in August and has regularly received chemotherapy.

However, doctors at the Royal Marsden hospital in London told her they were now treating her to prolong her life, rather than to cure the cancer, according to the Sun.

The mother-of-two told the paper: "I am devastated, frightened and angry. I don't want to die, I have so much to live for."

Goody, 27, added: "The reality is I have gone from a 40 per cent chance of a cure to seeing how long I can stay alive.

"The whole thing is absolutely terrifying, I am hoping a new type of treatment will suppress and control the cancer, which is very aggressive. I am in a nightmare."

Goody's boyfriend Jack Tweed, 21, is said to be "numb" after the confirmation of the deterioration of Goody's condition while her two sons are staying with their father, TV presenter Jeff Brazier.

Her spokesman Max Clifford said Goody is "trying to put on a brave face" for Bobby, five, and four-year-old Freddie.

"Obviously it's a nightmare and it's terrible news for her," he commented.

"She's gone through a hard time in recent times with the treatment."

Goody was appearing on the Indian version of Big Brother when she first learnt of her diagnosis.
