The founder of Michael Jackson's biggest fanclub has explained how the icon's followers have been left "shellshocked" by his sudden death.
Matt Blank, who runs the Michael Jackson World Network fanclub, spoke out on behalf of the Thriller legend's legions of fans across the globe to express his disbelief at the tragic news.
Jackson died aged 50 on Thursday (25Jun09) after slipping into a coma following a cardiac arrest. He was rushed to Los Angeles' UCLA Medical Center but was unresponsive to treatment from frantic medics.
And Blank insists the world will not be the same place without the presence of history's most prolific performer.
He says, "I find it hard to believe this could be a reality.
"In the past, health issues of Michael Jackson have always been rumoured. I can only imagine this is down to the amount of stress he was under to come out and perform.
"It's just unimaginable that Michael Jackson is no more, it's just unbelievable."
