JACKSON STARTS OWN VIDEO GAME STUDIO
LATEST: LORD OF THE RINGS director PETER JACKSON and his screen writing partner FRAN WALSH have started a new video game studio called Wingnut Interactive. The pair have signed a long-term deal with Microsoft to make Xbox 360 games. The first two include a new Halo game, (which is not tied to the Halo film Jackson is producing) and a game Jackson and Walsh will develop themselves. Jackson has also worked with Microsoft to develop an HD DVD of KING KONG that comes with the new $200 (GBP111) HD DVD drive for the Xbox 360 when it arrives in mid-November (06).
