JACKSON REVOKED MOVIE NAME CHANGE
SAMUEL L JACKSON almost pulled out of new movie SNAKES ON A PLANE when he discovered film-makers were planning to ditch its memorable title. Jackson, who signed up to the project on the strength of its comical name, was furious when he heard the production company planned to call it PACIFIC AIR FLIGHT 121 instead. However, he quickly argued for a re-think, warning the movie would bomb at the box office and lose the cult following it had already built up on the internet. Jackson recalls, "I got on the set one day and heard they changed it. "I said, 'What are you doing here? It's not GONE WITH THE WIND. It's not ON THE WATERFRONT. It's Snakes On A Plane." The movie charts an assassin's attempts to eliminate a plane passenger by unleashing a crate of deadly snakes.
