JACKSON HAS HIGH HOPES FOR SAMURAI FILM AFTER BLESSING CEREMONY

SAMUEL L JACKSON is confident his plans to turn animated TV hit AFRO SAMURAI into a live action film will bring him another big movie hit because the project has been blessed by real Samurai historians.
The Pulp Fiction star met with anime experts in Tokyo, Japan to discuss the project and came away feeling sure the film would be a big success thanks to an ancient ceremony, for which he had to dress like a warrior.
He tells WENN, "We had a big ceremony where we blessed the project. We all dressed as Samurai and went to a traditional wooden structure where even the nails were wood.
"We went over in rickshaws and it was a big deal. They had the oldest Geisha women in Japan perform that night. They actually gave me two swords which I have at home for good luck."
