JACKSON BROWNE SUES REPUBLICAN PARTY
Singer JACKSON BROWNE is suing the Republican Party for using his RUNNING ON EMPTY hit in a campaign ad for presidential candidate JOHN MCCAIN without his permission.
The angry star - a Democrat voter and supporter of MCCain's rival Barack Obama - wants the commercial pulled and is demanding damages from party bosses.
Browne's lawyer Lawrence Iser says, "In light of Jackson Browne's lifelong commitment to Democratic ideals and political candidates, the misappropriation of Jackson Browne's endorsement is entirely reprehensible."
