JACKSON BROTHER JOINS BIG BROTHER
Michael Jackson's brother Jermaine has joined ten other celebrities on the UK's fifth series of Celebrity Big Brother.
The 11 celebrities made their way into the house last night where they will be separated from the rest of the world for up to a month.
This year's house is set to be a battle of the voices with pop legend Jermaine being joined by pop star Leo Sayer, former S Club 7 singer Jo O'Meara, Steps singer Ian "H" Watkins and Towers of London singer Donny Tourette.
Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty also joined the house, along with Sunday Mirror journalist Carole Malone, actress Cleo Rocos, filmmaker Ken Russell, and A Team actor Dirk Benedict.
The most controversial entrance in this year's house was made by former Miss Great Britain Danielle Lloyd, who was booed by the crowd as she joined her housemates. The 23-year-old lost her crown after it was revealed that she was having a relationship with one of the judges.
There was no sign of Baywatch star David Hasselhoff or former Big Brother contestant Jade Goody, who were rumoured to be entering the house – although no-one is sure what surprises Big Brother has planned for this year's housemates.
Commenting on what the stars are letting themselves in for, presenter Dermot O'Leary said: "I don't think people have any comprehension how that house has an effect on people. The effect that place has on people is extraordinary.
"No one has an idea of the fact that it's such a claustrophobic place; it makes people paranoid. Everyone says this, and it's so true, you can't act 24/7 …so invariably the real you is always going to come out."
