MICHAEL JACKSON's brother JERMAINE stunned British TV viewers when he was announced as the first of 11 contestants to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house last night (03JAN06). The former JACKSON 5 star promised the show's host DAVINA MCCALL that both Michael and sister JANET will be watching the reality programme avidly over the next few weeks to chart his progress on it. Wearing a long burgundy coat trimmed with gold, he made a peace sign to the crowd as he walked towards the house, where he was joined by singer LEO SAYER, Bollywood actress SHILPA SHETTY, TOWERS OF LONDON rocker DONNY TOURETTE, and legendary film director KEN RUSSELL, among other British stars. Last to enter the house was actor DIRK BENEDICT, best known for playing TEMPLETON 'THE FACE' PECK in hit 1980s show THE A-TEAM. He prompted huge cheers from the waiting crowd when he arrived in a replica of the famous black and red A-Team van. He said, "I have no idea why I am here. What am I doing? I offer myself up as a sacrifice for the A-Team." The winner of the competition is the last celebrity to be evicted in public votes over the next 25 days.
