JACKMAN SATISFIED TO BE SECOND CHOICE
HUGH JACKMAN insists he is happy to take on movie roles other actors have turned down - even though he knows he wasn't the first choice for the part. His latest project THE FOUNTAIN was originally set to star BRAD PITT and he scored his role in the upcoming BAZ LUHRMANN film only after RUSSELL CROWE dropped out. DOUGRAY SCOTT was supposed to play WOLVERINE in X-MEN, but Jackman once again stepped in when Scott was tied up with MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2. He tells Premiere magazine, "I never cared about that. "I know enough about the business to know that by the time a movie comes to me, there have been at least five or six other names before me. "When I started, there were probably 30 other names before me. But you don't have to be the first-round draft pick to feel you deserve the role!"
