Jackman: Ignore The Leak And See Wolverine At The Cinema
X-Men Origins: Wolverine star Hugh Jackman has revealed his 'heartbreak' at the internet leak of the comic book prequel.
An unfinished version of the 20th Century Fox film surfaced online earlier this month, with more than one million people downloading the leak before it was removed.
Roger Friedman, a blogger for Foxnews.com, lost his job over reviewing the illegal copy of the film and the FBI has since confirmed plans to investigate the source of the internet leak.
Speaking ahead of the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, in which he reprises his role as the adamantium-clawed mutant, Jackman likened the leak to "a Ferrari without the engine in it".
"The day after it was leaked I was in the studio, and seeing people working many nights without sleep to finish the movie," he told a London press conference.
"What was leaked was many months old."
The Golden Globe nominee added: "It was heartbreaking for the people working so hard to finish the film and have it ready for the fans to watch on the big screen, which is what it was meant for.
"I'm really confident that if people are really into the movie they'll want to see it on the big screen, as that's what it was made for."
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is out now.
