JACK BAUER TO SAVE THE WORLD AGAIN
Kiefer Sutherland, star of the hit US show 24, has recorded a special broadcast to raise awareness of climate change.
Speaking against a backdrop of the 24-style ticking clock, Sutherland notes that climate change is crime where everyone is "guilty".
The high-octane, real-time thriller drama, which depicts Jack Bauer as the man against the clock trying to save the world, is set to improve its own carbon footprint.
Next season's finale will be carbon neutral and the Fox show plans to cut its overall carbon footprint in every episode.
In a public service announcement Sutherland recorded, the actor says: "Global warming is a crime for which we are all guilty, from our cars, our homes and our workplaces.
"All of us at 24 understand the urgency of this problem and, over the next year, we will be implementing creative new ways to produce our show and significantly reduce our carbon footprint."
Season seven of 24 begins in the US in January and the Emmy award-winning drama will try and educate viewers on the problems created by climate change in next year's series.
