IRWIN SAVED DAD FROM SUICIDE

Tragic CROCODILE HUNTER star STEVE IRWIN saved his father BOB from committing suicide after his wife of 40 years died in a car crash.
Following the death of Lyn in 2000, Bob, 68, admits he considered taking his own life - until his son Steve talked him round.
He tells the National Enquirer, "I couldn't see a future without Lyn. Steve said, `I know what you're going to do,' before adding, 'Well, if you're going to do it, then I'm coming.'
"I just couldn't let him do it, and he knew it."
Steve Irwin died in September 2006 after he was fatally pierced in the chest by a stingray while filming a documentary at the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland, Australia.
Since his death Bob has battled with Steve's widow Terri over the future of the Australian zoo the family ran. Just this month (Apr08) he was handed a pay off of $942,520 (GBP471,260) to sever his ties to the zoo.
