IRWIN LOST HIS LIFE FILMING FOR DAUGHTER'S KIDS SHOW

LATEST: Tragic CROCODILE HUNTER star STEVE IRWIN was filming a news spot for his daughter's new TV show when he was fatally wounded by a stingray's barb on Monday (04SEP06). The TV personality and conservationist was co-hosting Animal Planet special THE OCEAN'S DEADLIEST with oceanographer PHILIPPE COUSTEAU when he took a break from the documentary to film a quirky piece for his daughter BINDI's show. His manager JOHN STAINTON explains, "His daughter's doing a new show for Discovery Kids next year and wherever we get the opportunity we pick up quick little stories with Steve for her. "He said, 'I'll just take the rubber duckie (dinghy) and go out and see if we can get some coral and fish and rays and stuff like that - just to do a soft segment for kids.' "I saw him go off, he had the crew and the boat crew in with him and a cameraman... The next thing we heard this call coming in out of the ship's radio that there'd been an emergency. "It was a blur as to what was happening, I didn't know who was hurt. I obviously did not think it was Steve. I thought he was invincible. "In my heart, I think he was dead when he was in the rubber duckie, I don't think he was alive."

It is too bad that everyone is stating that Steve was doing this shoot for Bindi Sue. He was doing a kids show, for for Discovery, with his daughter, I don't think that he was actually doing this shoot for his daughter. I mean, I just hope that Bindi won't blame herself someday. Steve's manager was on Larry King live (here in the U.S.) last night and he talked about it and he said on the interview that in his heart of heart..(and he broke down crying) that he thought that Steve was already gone, right after it happened. The man truely loves Steve.. it was VERY touching.. he is a great inspiration.. a great friend!! I was VERY glad that he said that he would do eveything that he could to make sure that NO ONE sees the video of Steve's death. That would just be horrible for his family.. and to me (as should be with everyone else) THEY ARE ALL THAT MATTERS!!!! I think that it was so great, that young Mr.Cousteau tried so desperatly to try and help save Steve's life, while trying to make it to the rescue helicopter.. that was unfortunatly a 30 min. boat ride away (according to the interview). John wanted to publicly thank him for his heroric efforts, in trying so hard. I know that I will NEVER forget Steve Irwin.... and what he taught me. I hope that his death is not in vain. I know that the world is mourning his death. We loved him here in the USA!!! He taught us to love animals that we didn't even know that we could love. He made us look forward to adventures that only he could bring to us.. that we could never see.. without that loveable Aussie Man and his lovely Terri by his side. I enjoyed every minute that he gave to me! I still can't believe that he is gone from us. He made me feel like I knew him. He was a REAL person. I will miss you Steve Irwin.. We can only hope that you are with your Lyn <3
