IRON MAIDEN CONCERT ERUPTS INTO VIOLENCE
British rockers IRON MAIDEN's concert in Bogata, Colombia on Saturday (07Mar09) was marred by riots between fans and police.
Latin American news reports suggest police clashed with fans after they climbed a fence to gain access to VIP area at the Parque Simon Bolivar show.
The authorities made several arrests as trouble then flared up outside the perimeter of the concert, as fans who hadn't secured tickets fought with one another and police.
As WENN went to press there was no statement available from Iron Maiden.

This is very sad! I love Iron Maiden and to see so called "fans" act this way
is pathetic! We as Iron Maiden fans are known across the world for being the
most friendly, devoted, mature and respectful of all fans of any band out there
and it makes me proud! But when I hear of this I think, "these people don't
deserve to be counted among the true Iron Maiden fans!" To these people I say,
"You guys need to grow up and learn respect! True Iron Maiden fans would not
disrespect these men this way! They are a bunch of really nice men, talented,
good looking and most of all, they honor their devoted fans and give them
respect. I think you should show them the same!!"
