IRISH EYES SMILE ON KINGS

Ireland's first submission for a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar has scooped up the lion's share of nominations for the Irish Film + TV Awards. Kings is up for 14 awards, including Best Film, when the ceremony takes place in Dublin on 17 February (08). It will compete with Irish-made and funded films Becoming Jane, Garage, Shrooms and Closing The Ring in that category. Atonement, The Bourne Supremacy, La Vie en Rose and The Lives of Others will compete for the event's Best International Film prize.
