INDIA.ARIE (corr) has stunned chart watchers in America by taking her new album to the top of the charts. Boosted by a show-stealing CHAKA KHAN tribute which she performed at the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards on 27 June (06), the singer scored her best sales week ever (161,000) to land at number one with TESTIMONY VOL 1, LIFE + RELATIONSHIP. Rockers DASHBOARD CONFESSIONAL also scored a career-best week - the group's DUSK + SUMMER album debuted at number two with 134,000 sales. NELLY FURTADO's former chart-topper, LOOSE, slipped to number three on the new Billboard chart and the DIXIE CHICKS fell for four.
