IMPERIOLI SAVES BIRD CO-STAR
THE SOPRANOS star MICHAEL IMPERIOLI grew so fond of his rooster co-star in hit play CHICKEN he insisted the bird lived out his days as an adopted pet once the production ended.
The fowl, DINO, was picked from a group of plucky birds from an upstate New York farm for the role in the play, which ended on Saturday (07APR07) - and now the lucky rooster will never find himself up for the chop - thanks to TV hitman Imperioli.
He says, "He loves to be onstage, he loves to be handled. He's being adopted. He's going to a farm."
