IMPERIOLI LINKED TO BOMB BLAST

THE SOPRANOS star MICHAEL IMPERIOLI is part of a police investigation in Manhattan, New York after a bomb was detonated outside a dance studio the actor owns. Authorities are still attempting to find out why the location was chosen for the device, which exploded in a van early on Tuesday morning (04Sep07). They are not ruling out a link to Studio Dante, which Imperioli and his wife own. No one was injured in the blast but residents of an apartment block above Imperioli's dance studio were evacuated after the bomb was detonated. In a statement, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says, "While there certainly is no evidence that this was terrorism, we are taking this and every act of violence extremely seriously."
