IMPERIOLI BACK ON TV AS A COP
THE SOPRANOS star MICHAEL IMPERIOLI is returning to TV to fight crime, in a new American adaptation of a hit British cop show.
The actor, who played Christopher Moltisanti in the long-running mob drama, will play a "rough, sexist" New York detective in Life on Mars, which follows a cop who is transported back to the 1970s after he is hit by a car.
Imperioli will portray lead actor Jason O'Mara's partner in the series, a role played by Philip Glenister in the British version of the show.
