IMMATURE ARCTIC MONKEYS
Arctic Monkeys insist reviews of their new album 'Humbug' saying they have grown up are inaccurate.
Arctic Monkeys have laughed off suggestions their music has matured.
Several reviews of the Sheffield rockers' new album 'Humbug' have suggested the band have adopted a more mature sound but the group have laughed off speculation they have changed.
Drummer Matt Helders said: "I don't think mature is the right word, honestly. Who knows? Next time they'll the critics be calling it immature because of the bar of maturity we've set."
Frontman Alex Turner added: "There is more to this record. Steve Lamacq just described it as tantalising which I quite liked."
Meanwhile, the group have announced plans to play London's O2 Academy Brixton next week - their first UK show since December 2007.
The group will play the venue on August 26, with tickets going to members of their mailing list who register their interest in attending by midnight tonight (19.08.09).
