'I'M A CELEB...' LOVE ISLAND

A male and female contestant will spend the first night of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' on a special 'Love Island', where they will complete a Bushtucker Trial to try and win food.

A male and female contestant will spend the first night together on 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' on a special 'Love Island'.

The two celebrities will have to swim across shark-infested waters to the island and complete a Bushtucker Trial to win food and sleep under a makeshift canopy, while their fellow contestants will drink champagne on a luxury yacht.

Producers had wanted to initially send in the show's older contestants, George Hamilton and Kim Woodburn, but felt it would be too difficult.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "It will be tough but it will also be quite romantic sleeping out under the stars. We wanted George and Kim but when we tried it with two senior stand-ins, they said it was too tough for older people."

The remaining celebrities will be split into two teams, with one group skydiving into camp while the other will ride in on horseback through mountains and rivers.

It is expected the camp will remain divided for the first few days before they are united.
