ILLNESS PROMPTS BLACK CROWES TO SCRAP SHOWS

Rockers THE BLACK CROWES have scrapped a series of dates in Arizona and California to allow an unnamed band member to recover from an "unexpected illness."
Five dates will be rescheduled and the group's tour is expected to resume next week (beg22Sep08).
In a statement, the band writes, "Despite our best efforts, it is not possible to reschedule the cancelled shows at this time. However, we are working diligently to reschedule these markets in early 2009.
"We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this situation may cause our fans. We greatly appreciate your understanding and look forward to seeing you soon."
No other details about the bandmate who is ill or his illness have been released.
