IGGY POP: 'I WANT WOOD TO PLAY ME IN A BIOPIC'

Veteran rocker IGGY POP has given the thumbs up to casting ELIJAH WOOD in a film based on his life. The Lust For Life star - real name James Newell Osterberg Jr - confesses he'd love the Lord Of The Rings star to play him in a biopic and believes Wood's experiences as a hobbit have adequately prepared the actor for performing as Iggy Pop on-screen. He says, "We have no agreement yet but Elijah is a good actor. "If he can play a hobbit, he can play me!"
