IDLEWILD TOUR IN DOUBT AFTER JONES IS INJURED

Scottish rockers IDLEWILD were almost forced to cancel their U.K. tour after guitarist ROD JONES fell down a flight of stairs 30 minutes before going onstage. The 30-year-old was watching support act The Twilight Sad at the Carling Academy in Liverpool when he tripped and fell, injuring his arm. He says, "One minute I was watching the band and the next I was at the bottom of a flight of stairs. I landed on my arm which is the worst thing possible for a guitarist. "I thought we were going to have to cancel a whole bunch of shows. We discussed pulling out of the tour because I didn't want to do my arm any more damage. "After the gig we went straight to the hospital to get it checked out. I was told I had a hairline fracture but the doctor said I could continue to play. He joked that it probably wasn't the most advisable thing, but it would be okay and shouldn't get any worse."
