IDLEWILD ALBUM DELAYED BY INJURY

Scottish rockers IDLEWILD have been forced to delay writing their next album after guitarist ALLAN STEWART injured his hand. The band was due to begin recording their seventh studio album this year (08) - but are instead following in the example of fellow British group Blur, who famously wrote new material by "sitting round a table for lunch." Frontman Roddy Woomble explains, "Song writing sessions with Allan were postponed after he fractured his right hand play fighting. "We're taking a page out of Blur's book, and have been meeting up for lunch instead." It is not the first injury to befall the band. In October (07), guitarist Rod Jones fell down a flight of stairs and fractured his arm, almost resulting in the cancellation of the band's U.K. tour.
