IDLE'S MUSICAL SECRET REVEALED
MONTY PYTHON star ERIC IDLE was forced to shorten his Las Vegas musical SPAMALOT by 20 minutes, after realising potential theatre-goers might be put off by the show's length.
Idle knew the show, which is currently showing at the Grail Theater, had to contend with the city's numerous casinos, so cut the show in case people opted to gamble instead.
He says, "I knew upfront that I'd have to cut 20 minutes from the show. Partly this is because they want you back in the casino, and partly because they want you back in the casino."
