IDLE BONDED WITH HARRISON OVER ISOLATION

Former MONTY PYTHON star ERIC IDLE instantly bonded with late BEATLE GEORGE HARRISON, because both men knew what it was like to be an outsider. The British funnyman met Harrison on the set of Monty Python movie LIFE OF BRIAN, which Harrison produced, and the guitarist fully sympathised with Idle's feeling that he was largely ignored by the other members of the comedy troupe. He recalls, "I remember sitting with George on a film set once, feeling a bit dejected because MICHAEL PALIN and JOHN CLEESE were getting all the good scenes. "I said, 'I never get a look-in when those two are here.' He just said, very dryly, 'You should try being in a band with (JOHN) LENNON and (SIR PAUL) MCCARTNEY.'"
